Samsung Galaxy S4: The Traditional Smartphone That Changed the Concept of Innovation

The Samsung Galaxy S4, released in April, 2013 was a game changer in the smart phone industry. Being the successor of the well-known Galaxy S3, it introduced a number of improvements related to both software and hardware, which became new standards at that period.

Galaxy S4 had a 5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen with resolution of 1080 x 1920 giving it vivid colors and clear images. Depending on the region, it was powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 or an octa-core Exynos 5410 processor that was capable of offering smooth everyday performance and multitasking. It had 2GB of RAM and storage of 16GB to 64GB, it was future-proof and expandable using microSD.

Samsung concentrated a lot on smartness. The S4 came with Smart Scroll, Smart Pause and Air Gesture so the user need not touch the screen to operate the phone. These were innovative features, which were way before their time and demonstrated the innovative spirit by Samsung.

It also had a reasonable photography capability with a 13MP camera at the back and a 2MP camera at the front. It was powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean, which could be updated to newer versions later and had a removable 2600mAh battery, which was quite accommodating and allowed the user to use it for long periods.

The Galaxy S4 was also a lightweight and sleek product whose exterior was made of polycarbonate material and came in different colors. Although it was made out of plastic, it was premium and comfortable to hold.

In short, Samsung Galaxy S4 was not only a phone, but also a sign of modernity. It expanded the capabilities of smartphones and set the groundwork of numerous features that we have in our devices now. It is still a nostalgic favorite among the world tech enthusiasts even today.
